Fundango Fun Center had 40 kids show up last Friday...........they are a sponsor for Sarasota's 2006 VERBScorecard program, the obesity prevention program for kids 9-13. Each Friday throughout June & July, Fundango hosts Fundango Fridays: scorecard participants get an hour of jumping on gigantic inflatables at no charge and a stamp on their scorecard which edges them closer to prizes.

Sponsors are located all over the county - just check out the VERBScorecard program for all the activities going on this summer. Each time a scorecard is completed, it can be turned in for a prize. (The Big Carrot: the more activities the kids do, the more prizes they can win.)

They said it would be easy and it is easy enough - but I had to lower my sights at the beginning.

Blogging requires an online template (offered free or for a fee by several companies). You have a choice of pre-designed or custom. My first mistake was trying to customize a blog design when I had never put a blog together. I expected way too much from the design options and finally, as suggested, just decided to take the easy way .......the pre-designed template. Later, when I want to spend more time working on the design, I can switch gears, customize my blog and not lose anything I've created.

Or so I've been told. I, like hundreds and perhaps thousands of others, am reading BlogWild by AndyWibbels. He is a blogging guru and you can find him if you click here. (Andy walked me through how to do that.)
